Project Overview
I designed the logo, brand identity, and full design system, while also collaborating with both in-house and outsourced developer teams. The challenge was making sub-accounts easy to understand while maintaining power for advanced users. The new logo and identity projected trust and scalability, and the design system brought consistency across teams, speeding up delivery and handoffs.

Challenge
The old Beta Finance platform lacked advanced risk management and didn’t speak to professional users. The challenge was to redesign the product into a scalable, trustworthy protocol that could serve both retail users and institutional-level traders.

Simplified deposit and borrow steps with upfront APR clarity.
● OUTDATED BRAND
Beta’s identity felt experimental and failed to inspire long-term trust.
● COMPLEX FLOWS
Lending and borrowing steps were intimidating, especially for newer users.
Research & Insights
We reviewed the old Beta platform and studied competitors like Aave and Compound. Beta itself struggled with an intimidating UI for non-technical users and a lack of consistency without a design system. Meanwhile, most competitor protocols relied on single-account structures, limiting risk management for professionals. These insights revealed the opportunity to rebuild Omni as both simpler for retail and more advanced for pros.
Personas
Users were mainly divided into two groups. Retail lenders and borrowers wanted a simple, transparent experience to supply and borrow assets. Professional traders required advanced tools like sub-accounts and portfolio-level risk management.
Strategy & Concept
The strategy was to relaunch Beta Finance as Omni, with a dual focus: simplify core lending for everyday users while layering in advanced tools for professionals.

Design Outcome
The result was a clean, modular UI where sub-accounts felt intuitive and easy to manage. The new logo used a geometric form and bold typography to project trust and scalability. The design system unified everything—making it easier for multiple teams to build consistently.
